What an end to a hectic week! We spent today in Anniston with the Hurst family. We finally got to meet baby Brenan. Lofton did a fabulous job of holding him, he even walked around with him! Obviously he loves children (or we wouldn't be having one), he is just afraid to touch them when they are small. Analee was a busy bee as usual. I can't believe she'll be two in a few weeks. Time goes so quickly!
A quick recap to the week...
This week brought the end of my pre-pregnancy, size 4 pants. Tuesday, I wore a pair of non-maternity pants to school. They were a bit snug, but I could breathe and move comfortably. Thursday, I put the same pants on (just in a different color) and I had to wear them unbuttoned all day. Clearly I knew I was going to outgrow my clothes. I just didn't anticipate that it would happen in 48 hours. Goodbye size four. I'll miss you. It's been a great six years. Hopefully we'll meet again someday. Maybe around Christmas.
I have days when I feel lots better and don't get sick at all, and then days when I still feel yucky. I am hopeful this week will be a turning point. My insomnia is improving though. I slept through the night (with the exception of the bathroom trips) four days last week.
Holding Brenan today made me think about meeting Baby B and how excited I am. I can't believe in 28 weeks Baby B will be here.

Spring Break
I am at home for Spring break this week, and what a glorious spring break it is!
I am sick with a cold and unable to take any medicine other than Tylenol. My head hurts, my throat hurts, and now my neck hurts because I tried to sleep sitting up last night so I wouldn't cough as much. I suppose better this week than next when I have to be back at school.
Enjoy the blog changes. I tried to spiff things up a little.

What a fabulous Wednesday!
I had my check-up today with Dr. Alverson. Everything went well! Baby B is right on target for October 9th. That however is not why the day was fabulous.... the doctor's appointment had surprises in store for Lofton and I.
The first surprise is that although my pants (among other things) are getting snug, I have not gained weight since my first appointment. I am still at my pre-pregnancy weight. This was surprising for two reasons. Obviously the growing waistline was a nagging concern, and also I have not been cooking as frequently because the smell makes me ill.
So, to Lofton, my husband who has been smirking at me when I struggle to find pants in the morning, and my father-in-law Alan who made a vague reference to my waist size, I say, My waist may not be a size 22, but it is far closer than either of you will ever be. And I'm pretty sure that neither of you still wears the same size pants you did six years ago.
The second fabulous event at the doctor's office was that we got to do another ultrasound. The nurses at the office are AMAZING. I was talking with one about the hemotoma that was found on my uterus and she said not to worry she had the same thing and her baby is fine, but she understood that I was concerned. She left to take Dr. Alverson some paperwork and when she came back she said the magical words, "Let's go next door and do another ultrasound. Seeing the baby will make you feel better since we can't hear the heart on the Doppler yet."
It was incredible! Baby B has gotten so much bigger since the last ultrasound. Lofton and I got to see the baby move. It was kicking its little feet and waving its arms. It also had a large head which Lofton said clearly indicates it has Buckley genes. So funny, Lofton. Buckley's have large heads because we have abnormally large brains, what can I say?
Lofton and I are going home this weekend to watch Jackson. Rice and Debbie are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary on Saturday. Congratulations Mom and Daddy! I love you both so much and Baby B could not be more blessed to have you as future grandparents.

What a weekend
Sorry the blog has been devoid of new info, the last week was a long one! Lofton spent the weekend in Atlanta for work and my three favorite (and fabulous) ladies came to visit. Mom, Hannah, Beth and I had a wonderful weekend of shopping and eating.
I am off to the doctor on Wednesday for a check-up with Dr. Alverson. I am eager to hear about Baby B's progress and anxious to listen to the heartbeat again. I have some serious questions for the doctor about my allergies. The past few weeks have not been pleasant. I really do miss the Benadryl and Allegra.
Other than that I am just counting the days until Friday and Spring Break. My little ones are starting to wear on me!
A more substantial update on Wednesday...
