fall break, day one

Fall Break.  Gotta love it.  Except truthfully, it would be nice to have some accompanying fall weather.  Ninety degrees and sunny doesn't exactly scream fall. But I digress.

This morning Reese and I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast {i.e, he ate breakfast in my bed while watching cartoons and I read the news} before heading out for some errand running.  Our errands were, unfortunately, unsuccessful.  I was looking for some supplies to make a fall wreath, but Hobby Lobby is the only "supply" store in the vicinity and I came up empty.

Spirits crushed, we headed over the Russell to bother Lofton.  It was my first visit to Lofton's office {i know, bad wife}.  Let's just say it lacks.... personality.  I'm adding send family photos with Lofton to work onto my to-do list.

Reese, per usual, made himself right at home.

Pretty sure he wants his own calculator now. And then he saw these:

A nice stack of orders.  Can you see the wheels churning?  Yep.  With one swift sweep of the hand they went all over the floor.  It was comical.  For me at least.

Then Daddy-O took us to lunch. Which he worked through.

Enter the pokey finger.

A sure fire way to grab someone's attention.  As a bonus it usually leaves a nice bruise to remind them of your visit.

And then we sat while Reese ate.  And we sat, and sat, and sat some more because Reese is the slowest eater in America.

An hour to eat half a pimento cheese sandwich and some chips?  Why sure.
