rocking the vote

I'm at home today.

With a touch of the flu.  No, I didn't get a flu shot.  And no, now isn't the time to tell me that I should have.

I must be well by Friday because Lofton and I are headed to ATL for a belated 30th birthday celebration.  I will feel better, I will...

Regardless, yesterday Reese and I headed to our neighborhood polling location so I could model citizenship in action.  I thought it was both fun and important to include him in such a big event.

Although he was a little confused and thought we were going to a boat.  He also told everyone that, "Mama is boating for Baromney!" His personal choice for president was the local high school football coach.  Or Batman.  It was a toss up for him.

And while we are on the subject of elections, today was the worst day ever to be at home.  The nastiness on both television and FB has been appalling.  No, my candidate didn't win.  However, being ugly about it isn't going to change the outcome. Or on the other side, convince me that your candidate is the best candidate.

Seriously.  Both these men are husbands and fathers.  Strong men who feel strongly convicted in their beliefs.  Welcome to America.

It seriously makes me want to use my teacher voice. And de-friend some people on facebook.
