a few funnies

TGIF, friends!  I'm spent.  I can say with complete certainty that both my students and I are more than ready for Spring Break.  Two more weeks.... say it with me.... two more....

A few Friday tidbits--

  • I'm in charge of our school's relay for life team.  Both Lofton and I have been touched personally by cancer, as have many people at our school.  In fact, we have both a survivor of breast cancer and a breast cancer fighter employed at Northside.  We've raised a little over 400 dollars which is one-quarter of our goal.  If you feel compelled to donate shoot me a message.
  • When I picked little man up today he was wearing the green shirt I sent him to school in but missing his overalls.  In their place were a pair of orange, skin-tight, ankle-cuffed, pumpkin printed pants.  It was hot.  I'm hoping and praying that daycare lets us keep them.  Reese ran over to Lofton and I and shouted "Look Mama Daddy-O punkin pants!"
  • Lastly, the hubs injured the muscles around his collarbone this week.  He wasn't really sure what caused the injury, but as the week progressed he became more and more whiny about it.  Blah, blah you know how men are.... FINALLY after my umpteenth suggestion that he see a doctor he relented this afternoon.  Of course he made this decision at lunch time... on a Friday afternoon... but being the stellar spouse I am I used my lunch time {all twenty minutes of it} to call various doctors and beg for an appointment.  Long story short-- he saw an orthopedist {who was highly recommended} and basically the guy told him that "He has an injury that is really common in middle age men who try to work out." Hahahahahahahah....
Happy weekend!
