four months

A quick post to update you on my FOUR month old. Can you believe it? Me neither.

We went to see Dr. Greer today. And by we I mean me, Reese, and my mom (Nonna). She came to town to keep Reese tomorrow. At least that's what we pretended. She really just wanted to go see Dr. Greer. In case I've failed to mention- we love him.

We got our yucky shots and Reese was a trooper. He barely cried.
Here are his vital stats:

Weight: 17 pounds, nine ounces (And yes, we went to the doctor exactly a week ago and he weighed 16 pounds, 13 ounces. What can I say? I'm rearing a linebacker.)
Height: A hair shy of 27 inches
Head 42.5 cm around

I had two very important questions to ask the doctor today. Number one, is he too big? Dr. Greer said absolutely not. He is in the 90% for weight and 95% for height. Both of these are consistent with the percentiles he was in at birth. So, Mrs. Samuels and Mrs. Pigg will be happy to know that I'm letting go of my feeding issues. In my defense, we were admonished in week five when Reese had gained three pounds in a relatively short amount of time.

My second question was about his ribs sticking out. They do, but evidently that's normal. Something about excess gas causing them to protrude a little.

I'll post pictures from our first attempt at spoon feeding tomorrow....
