Doctor today
I had concerns about the increased amount pressure I have been feeling also. I have been VERY uncomfortable the past few days. Also, totally normal said the doctor. It could also be because I'm measuring 35 1/2 weeks, not 33 weeks 6 days. Don't panic, I already did that! If Baby Reese were to appear early he would be fine. And just because I'm measuring ahead of schedule doesn't mean that I'm going to deliver ahead of schedule. It's just a possibility. Lofton feels very certain (and has for manymany months) that I will be having Reese at the end of September. Time will soon tell!
Baby Reese's heart rate was around 140 today and Dr. Alverson said he weighs about 4 1/2 pounds. Don't ask me how he knows that- he says it's a doctor thing!

Baby Shower
Presents by candlelight
Yummy food made by Autumn!
Sweet Aunt Linda and Ma-Rene (who made her first trip to Auburn just for Reese!)
Opening presents
fantastic hostesses
Amazing friends who drove a really long way just for Reese. I can't wait for him to meet you. I can however wait for you to have children. The best moment of the whole shower was when Brittany thought the Bobby pillow was a neck pillow for flying. I could not love you girls anymore than I do. You are going to make wonderful aunts.
And because there is no rest for the weary husband when you are almost nine months pregnant, sweet Lofton put all of the baby things together on Sunday. The stroller, car seat, pack and play, and swing are all ready and waiting (hopefully for six more weeks) for baby Reese. I just wanted to practice using them yesterday. I'm kind of like a boy scout- always need to be prepared.

Nursery Pictures
The full picture of the bed. I put the crib blanket on the bed because you aren't actually supposed to use crib blankets. Reese could suffocate in it.
My chair! It isn't in the right location because Lofton has been scotchguarding it. It is comfortable and fabulous! The otttoman is behind it. I didn't get a picture because my camera died.
Reese's diaper bag. It is so cute! Even Lofton approves.

welcome back
BUT, I do have eighteen new babies to take care of and so far things are going well. I have a little girl name Mackenzie in my room who is definitely personality plus. She talks non-stop. She is inquisitive and smart and really really funny. On Monday, when we first met, she told me that she was so happy God answered her prayers. Her mom said she had been praying all summer to have the "pretty pregnant teacher." On Thursday while we were waiting for the dismissal bell she asked me, "When we have the baby, is Mr. Beasley going to come to school to help us take care of him?" I was a little confused so I had to ask her for further clarification. "You know, when you come back to school and Baby Reese is here all day with us. Is Mr. Beasley going to come help us feed him and stuff?" I hated to crush her, but unfortunately I felt it necessary to explain that Reese would not be coming to school with me everyday. She said, "But I prayed for you all summer cause I thought he was going to be here with us!" What a disappointment!
We have been working on the nursery though so I'll post some pictures this afternoon. There still isn't anything on the walls, but like I said, we have been busy.
